Want Beautiful, Healthy Hair? Check Out These Five Tips!
All girls want to have that long, smooth, and shiny hair we see in magazines or shampoo commercials. Can you think of any little girl who did not dream about having a crowning glory like that of Rapunzel’s? We all dream of those magical long locks, don’t we? We all want to achieve that beautiful and healthy hair, but are you willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish that? Although there is still no magical shampoo to make our hair magically long and beautiful in just a matter of one night. Even those procedures and hair treatments are done in the salon take longer than a night. So, here are some useful tips for you to help you make your hair grow healthy and beautiful!
Avoid Applying Too Much Heat in Your Hair
Avoid applying too much heat to the hair. Your hair might look amazing after ironing, but the damage happens inside, and there’s nothing worse for the hair than heat. You can just let it dry the natural way after you wash it, or if you are in a bit of a hurry, you can quickly wipe it using a fan. However, if you cannot avoid heat application on your hair, you should make sure to apply something to protect it first. There are many products sold in the market that you can put on your hair before heating it.
Trim Regularly
Girls don’t like to get their hair trimmed, as most girls want to have long hair. What they do not realize is that cutting their hair every month would do it well. Just half to a few inches will already be a big help for your hair, as it will significantly reduce the split ends. And another thing, as our hair gets longer, it also grows less and less healthy, so make sure to trim it once a month, even an inch of trimming will do. Keep in mind that short, healthy hair is way better than damaged long hair.
Moisturize Your Hair
Once you have cut off all those unhealthy split ends, make it a habit to use conditioner after shampooing your hair to avoid split ends in the future. You can use a deep conditioner to your hair once every week. Another excellent product for the hair is oil, and it’s also good for the scalp. You can use any oil treatment to give your hair the proper nourishment that it needs. You must start doing this for you to grow healthy and beautiful hair.
Eat Healthily
Having a poor diet could lead to weak, unhealthy, and lifeless looking hair. If your body is not getting the right nutrition that it needs, then your hair could suffer the brunt too. The way you treat your body dramatically affects your hair and skin.
Make sure to include green and fresh vegetables, nutritious fruits, and additional protein in your diet. You should also drink sufficient amounts of water every day. You can also supplement yourself with its needed vitamins and minerals.
Use a Wide-toothed Comb
It is best to use a comb with a wooden wide-tooth. This causes less friction to your hair, which isn’t a good thing, so you need to minimize friction as much as you can. And as much as possible, you should also refrain from combing your hair while it is still wet because it will increase the hair damage.
Observe Good Hair Practices
Do not rub the roots of your hair too hard when you are shampooing. This again causes friction to your hair, which can lead to damage. Use the pads of your fingers and lightly scrub off dirt from your hair. Make sure to rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Finally, don’t rub it with a towel. Gently pat your hair dry using the cloth and let it air dry.
These tips can help make sure that your hair is the crowning glory. It doesn’t matter whether you have long or short hair; both are beautiful. The important thing is your hair is as healthy as it should be.
