In this world we live in, there are people who trade money for power and there are some who use their power to get money. However, in rare situations, a person can have both. Can you guess who among the world’s most powerful leaders are on this list? Here are some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful leaders. You will be shocked to see who #3 is.

Vladimir PUTIN

The current president of Russia is considered to be the wealthiest leader of the world with over $200 Billion. Forbes magazine ranked him as world’s most powerful individual for four consecutive times, including 2016.

IMG_5254He was born and raised in Russia and can speak fluent German at a young age. His mother was a factory worker while his father was in the Soviet Navy. Putin served in the KGB or the Committee of the State Security as a foreign intelligence officer for about 16 years. In 2012, he won the presidential election.

Despite being the world’s most power leader, he also enjoys outdoor activities like hockey, hunting and fishing. He also once drove a formula one race car in 2010.

Kim Jong-Un

The supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or more commonly known as North Korea. It was officially declared when his father Kim Jong-Il passed away in 2011. He holds various of titles including, Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Chairman of the National Defense Commission and many more. He has a degree in Physics and as an Army officer.

He is considered to be the first North Korean leader born after the country’s founding. His late father arranged a marriage for him with Ri Sol-ju after suffering a stroke in 2008. They were reporting that they got married in 2009 and now have a daughter. In order to maintain North Korea’s “paradise living” he executes over 20,000 political prisoners so they wouldn’t attempt to escape.
Forbes magazine listed him as one of the wealthiest world leaders with over $5 Billion.

Donald TRUMP

He is probably the most controversial person in the United States today. President –elect Donald Trump is the very first president of the US who is a billionaire. And he is the only one in the U.S history to become elected as president that doesn’t have any previous service in the military nor have any experience when it comes to politics.

Donald Trump became controversial for his racist accusations and comments towards non-white people and also Muslims. But despite of this, he still won the elections against Hilary Clinton.

After winning the U.S. election, he is now considered to be one of the richest leaders with $3.7 Billion.
He owns several of the business like the Trump Organization, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants from 1996 to 2015. He also became a reality TV host of the show The Apprentice on NBC until 2015.

Silvio Berlusconi

With a net worth of $7 Billion, this Italian media tycoon is Italy’s Prime Minister in four governments. He has been the Prime Minister for nine consecutive years, making him the longest-serving post-war Prime Minister of Italy.

But in August of 2013 he was convicted of tax-fraud by the Court of Cassation with a public office ban for two years. But he got exempted from direct imprisonment because he is over 70 years and just served social communities work instead. And with that, a new Italian anti-corruption law was made.
He has been criticized for his populist political style and an overbearing personality.

Queen Elizabeth II

Last but definitely not the least is Queen Elizabeth II reportedly has a net worth of $425 Million. It is not as much compared to the previous world leaders on this list, but being a Queen of United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand has its perks.

She married the former Prince of Greece and Denmark, Prince Philip, who became Duke of Edinburgh when he married her. They have four children including Prince Charles, who is next in line to the throne followed by Prince William and his son Prince George.

She became the longest reigning British monarch and the longest female head of state in history when she celebrated her 90th birthday this year.
