The World’s Richest Animals That You Might Already Know
When you think about the richest people in the world, you would immediately think of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and everyone else that owns a company that earns billions every year. But have you ever thought about who are the richest animals in the world? You might get surprised by how much they actually make in a year, but one thing is certain, these animals are far richer than you.
Net Worth: $100 Million
Yes, you read it right, Tardar Sauce or most commonly known as “Grumpy Cat” has a net worth of a hundred million dollars. If you don’t know why and who she is then you’re probably living under a rock or just hate the internet. This cat is literally everywhere. She is considered to be one of the most popular internet meme. She is well-known as the grumpy cat because it is her permanent facial expression due to an underbite and feline dwarfism.
She became an internet sensation when Bryan Bundesen, who is the brother of her owner Tabatha, posted her photo at a social news website Reddit. Tabatha Bundensen, who is her owner, took a leave of absence from Red Lobster to manage her cat’s busy schedule while her brother Bryan is the one managing her social media accounts.
She has won a couple of awards like the 2012 MSNBC Most Influential Cat and the 2013 Buzzfeed’s Meme of the Year. She also became the official ‘spokescat’ for Friskies. Grumpy Cat has also made some television appearances including “Good Morning America” and “Anderson Live”.
CRYSTAL The Monkey
Net Worth: $25 Million
This monkey will totally make you jealous because she has worked with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood like Eddie Murphy, Bradley Cooper, Ben Stiller, Matt Damon, and Robin Williams. Crystal is actually a female capuchin monkey and was trained by Birds & Animals Unlimited, which is Hollywood’s largest supplier of animals. She started out in the movie George of the Jungle, where she played as a baby monkey. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her trainer, Tom Gunderson and his family. She normally sleeps no less than eight hours a day and shares a bed with the family, a fellow capuchin monkey and a Chihuahua.
BART The Bear
Net Worth: $6 Million
This next animal was so loved by almost everyone who sees him and his movie. Despite being a huge bear that could literally eat a person, he is actually nicer than some people. Bart was an Alaskan Kodiak bear and was born at the Baltimore Zoo in 1977. His mother was a bear actress herself after appearing in films like Grizzly and Day of the Animals. Bart was then adopted by Doug and Lynn Seus. They are actually trainers of animals who appear in films. Bart was trained using a reward and praise system.
His first TV appearance was at The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, when he was a cub. He also worked with Hollywood’s finest actors, including Morgan Freeman, Steven Seagal, Alec Baldwin, Ethan Hawke and Brad Pitt. And probably one of the few animals who gets to present at the Academy Awards. When Bart died of cancer in 2000, he was featured in a documentary Growing Up Grizzly, which was narrated by Brad Pitt.

This German Sheperd was actually rescued during World War I by a soldier named Lee Duncan. He nicknamed him as “Rinty” and trained him until Rinty was discovered and made his film debut in The Man From Hell’s River in 1922. He replaced a shy wolf while Rinty was so obedient and very easy to work with. He is also known for saving Warner Bros. from bankruptcy for appearing more than 24 times in their movies which earned millions of dollars. He was then the most popular dog in the world with several endorsements and sponsors.
His last film was The Lightning Warrior before his death. The world was completely devastated by the loss of the very special German shepherd. In 1960, Rin Tin Tin was given his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
