Let’s talk about food shall we? It is very interesting how our minds actually convince us that we’re hungry even if we’re actually not, and this normally happens when we see or hear something about food that our minds would tell us to go get something to eat because you’re craving. But this time, you’ll probably think twice about getting hungry because the foods we will be talking about today are so expensive that you will actually lose your appetite. Well, maybe not, if you can actually afford it and wouldn’t mind spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on food, without actually getting broke. So here are the most expensive foods of the world.

GOLDEN PHOENIX CUPCAKE

This is actually a product of Bloomsbury, which is a boutique located inside the Dubai Mall and is actually made of 23-carat gold sheets. It also has Ugandan vanilla beans, Italian chocolate with gold-dipped strawberries. And no, you can’t just walk into this place an order it, you actually need to order it two days before you actually get it. Now that is just too fancy don’t you think? Maybe they need some kind of a down payment to make sure you’re really getting it and not just doing it for fun.

BERCO’S POPCORN
Price: $250

Normally we got popcorns for less than $5 for a decent size bag. But at Berco’s you need to add about $245 on the price tag. Apparently, the salt that is in the popcorn is made from the island of Laseo, wherever that is, it must be such an incredible island. It is also covered in some 24-karat edible gold flake and of course some caramel. This popcorn is actually called as the “Billion Dollar Popcorn” You can get a 1 gallon tin of this popcorn for $250, $500 for 2 gallons, and $2,500 for 6 ½ gallons. So technically, it is actually $5 per piece. In fact, during an interview with rapper, 2 Chainz, in a segment of GQ magazine, he actually tried it and said:

“It leaves gold on your fingers. I think it makes my skin shine and glisten”

TOKYO’S FRUIT CAKE
Price: $1.72 Million

From a thousand dollar cupcake to the million dollar fruit cake. Yes, the holidays are over, but that doesn’t mean this Christmas cake is going to get any cheaper. It is actually a good two-layer hexagonal fruit cake made by the Takashimaya Department Store in Tokyo, Japan. It is obviously not that fancy, especially with its 223 diamonds. Totally jaw-dropping.

SERENDIPITY’S ICE CREAM
Price: $25,000

Now this ice cream is too good to be true. Just by one look at it and you will totally realize why it costs so much. It looks like only the members of the royal family could eat it. This ice cream is actually served in a goblet that is lined with gold, well not just the goblet, everything else is actually made of edible gold and the ice cream has 28 blends of cocoa on it. And of course, let’s not forget about the 18-karat bracelet that comes with a diamond. But you’ll have to finish the sundae in order to get that bracelet. However, the Serendipity 3 in New York said that every single thing on that plate is considered yours when you order one. Even the golden spoon.

GLAMBURGER

Last but definitely not the least is this “Glamburger” from an American-style restaurant and bar located in London, England called Honky Tonk. This Glamburger consist of a 280 gram Kobe Wagyu beef and a lamb meat from New Zealand, it is then seasoned with some salt from the Himalayas and is infused with black truffle brie and is topped with saffron-poached lobster. It is also topped with streaky bacon in maple syrup, beluga caviar which is very expensive, a gold leaf covered hickory smoked duck egg. It also has some Japanese Matcha and cream on it, with some added mayonnaise on the gold leaf coated bun. You might think that since there’s a lot of ingredients that is why it is expensive, well yes there are a lot and most of them are very rare and cannot be found in the groceries that is why they are very pricey.
